Your files stay on your device
Every conversion tool on File Content Conversion runs entirely client-side, inside your own browser. When you select or drop a file into a converter, it is processed locally using JavaScript running on your machine - it is never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to our servers or any third party. We have no way of seeing the contents of any file you convert.
What we collect
The only piece of information this site stores about you is a single flag in your browser's local storage, under the key fcc_cache_notice_dismissed. This flag records that you've seen and dismissed the on-page notice explaining that conversions run entirely in your browser and nothing is cached or uploaded. It contains no personal data, no file contents, and no identifying information, and it never leaves your device - it is not sent to us or to anyone else.
What we don't collect
We do not use analytics cookies, tracking scripts, or advertising pixels on this site. We do not create user accounts, and we do not ask for a name, email, or payment details to use any converter. We do not log, store, or retain the files you convert or their content, in any form, at any point.
Third parties
Because file conversion happens entirely in your browser, no file data is ever shared with third-party services. Our site is hosted with a standard web hosting provider, which may receive ordinary server-access logs (such as IP address and requested URL) as part of normal web infrastructure - this is separate from, and unrelated to, the files you convert. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind, so no visitor data is shared with analytics or ad-tech companies.
Children's privacy
This site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no account is required and no personal data is requested to use any converter, there is nothing for a child (or anyone else) to submit to us in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes - for example, if we ever introduce a feature that touches user data - we'll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. We won't make material changes without reflecting them here first.
